Repeat geometric patterns, bold shapes and layered textures are some of the quintessential African elements that have inspired international design movements.  With the exploration of Afrotel, Source Interior Brand Architecture seeks to revive pride in its own within the African hospitality market.

With more than 20 years’ experience in international hospitality design, Source IBA has collaborated with various international hotel brands in numerous African countries. This has fed the studio with hotel thinking from some of the most recognized voices in the industry.

For the sake of brand extension, hotels in Africa are still mostly based on Western models which do not necessarily speak to the African condition. The focus of this project is to develop design solutions that address the locale, resources, skills, culture and offering of the specific location. Source IBA partnered with the following local esteemed brands to realise this concept:
